The CHECK-IN venue for SwimAthy is located close to the Athy Courthouse on the River's edge at Barrow Quay Athy.

Alternatively, you can enter SwimAthy as you enter its sister event TriAthy 2025. Just select the SwimAthy race of your choice as part of that process.
All Swimmers must wear a swimming wetsuit to take part at SwimAthy. There are no exceptions to this policy.
This is an essential safety requirement to assist with buoyancy and warmth while swimming.
All swimmers must sign-on in advance of their swim at the Check-In point near Athy Courthouse.
At Check-In swimmers will be issued a SwimAthy Swimming Hat, and Timing Chip with Strap. Please ensure these are used for your chosen swim.
SwimAthy will have a dedicated team of experienced canoeists overseeing safety through the swims. Please follow their guidance at all times.
A medical tent will be in close proximity to the Check-In and finish area if you experience any issues throughout your swim that needs attention.
For 2025 all SwimAthy swimmers will get an official time using the timing chip provided.
This is a new feature of the Swim which will allow more accurate and timely results.
We will also offer all swimmers a warm drink and a few nibbles after the Swim.
Nothing too fancy... just to ward off any potential for cold and to settle any post-swim nerves!
