The 1500m swim consists of a 500m upstream section followed by a 1000m downstream section.
There is just one turn marked by a large yellow buoy.
This swim is ideal for those aiming for longer swim distances and is great prep for the Olympic distance triathlon at TriAthy.
Navigation Tip: Keep as near as possible to the left going upstream to minimise the current drag. Once you make the turn use the current in your favour by swimming as close as possible to the centre of the River.
